The Angelus Admissions
The loving and professional staff at The Angelus take our responsibility very seriously when a family entrusts their loved one to our care. We have limited room for more resident admissions, but for those seeking a living, loving and learning environment, we hope to make the process as quick and easy as possible, and to provide support and help whenever needed.
Admission Referrals
The Angelus accepts referrals from professional and non-professional sources. While professionals are an important referral source, we welcome family and self-referrals as well.
The most important thing about our admissions process is to ensure that The Angelus will be the right environment for the potential resident, and he or she is a good fit for our program. We know that it is a difficult and stressful process for families seeking a comfortable home for their loved one and that they feel a mix of hope and concern. Whenever possible, we welcome prospective clients and families to tour our facility to address their concerns and feel confident in their understanding of unique place that is The Angelus.
Assessment Interview
The purpose of the assessment interview is to allow our Director of Admissions to determine if the applicant meets The Angelus basic criteria for admission. In addition, the interview helps to determine specific programs and services that best meet the needs and desires of the individual to be served.
Angelus Facility Tour
The Angelus facilties tour provides an opportunity for the applicant and his or her family to visit The Angelus facilities, meet our loving and professional staff, and to address any questions or concerns. The tour also provides the admissions team an opportunity to meet the potential resident in person, and determine if our initial assessment was accurate.
Complete Application
A completed application and other required documents are required prior to receiving residential and day program services.
Application Review
Completed applications are reviewed by members of our health services, social services, and senior administrative staff. Once reviewed, the team works to determine admission status and a recommendation for level of care. An application review takes approximately one week once all required documents and application are received.
Intake Process
Once an application has been approved an intake/move in date is scheduled. On the day of intake, a meeting is held to gather all the necessary documents required for the new resident’s file. In addition, a brief orientation is provided for the new resident and their family.
All applicants who meet specific admissions criteria of The Angelus will be considered for admission.
No person will be subjected to discrimination based on race, religion, national origin, age, gender, social status, payer source, or disability. The Angelus is operated in accordance with current federal, state and local laws governing discrimination.
