The Angelus is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization and being so we rely heavily on donations and community involvement. We are state funded, but that covers approximately 76% of the cost required to provide the level of care we provide here at The Angelus, The rest comes from donations and community involvement. The Angelus welcomes any and all one time cash donations. To donate to The Angelus, click the button below.
As you might imagine, caring for an average of more than 30 individuals a day in our group homes requires a lot of resources. From home necessities, like toilet paper and cleaning supplies, to items and activities appropriate for our residents, we are always in need of in-kind donations to help offset our costs and provide quality experiences for the individuals in our care. You can see a full list of our current needs in our wish list here.
Special Events
The Angelus holds fund-raising events year round in our community. A number of our Annual Events are highly anticipated by the surrounding community. The Angelus keeps a calendar full of fun and rewarding events that in some cases also serve to help The Angelus raise funds to help those who cannot help themselves. Corporate Sponsorships
The Angelus provides the perfect opportunity. By aligning yourself with The Angelus, you will help raise awareness about developmental disabilities. Corporate partnerships are designed for businesses wanting an ongoing, deeper level of intimacy with The Angelus and its residents—one that extends beyond a financial commitment or a one-time event.
As an Independent Event Sponsor, your business will be responsible for coordinating and funding (in part) one of The Angelus events during the year, such as a walk, golf outing, fundraiser, concert and more. Contributions for these events can come from your marketing, charitable gifts or foundation budgets.
Consider being a Day Sponsor and underwriting the approximately $8,500.00 it takes to keep The Angelus open for a day (including food, programming, operations and more).

Since 1979, The Angelus has been providing a home for developmentally disabled individuals. Today we maintain 5 group homes on 17 wooded acres in Hudson, Fl., providing residential care and our day program for individuals in our care.
With your help, we can continue to provide love and support along with these services for those who cannot help themselves for decades to come. Please consider leaving a lasting legacy by remembering us in your will.
If you are creating or revising your estate plan, consider leaving part of your estate to The Angelus, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, by putting the following language into your will:
